DiyShare, a new user-generated news, announcement and collaborative service is preparing to launch. Basically, if you run or are apart of a DIY (do-it-yourself) project and have a news item about said project, this would be the place to post it. News, announcements, events, call for help, etc. are the basic types of items (or "shares" as we call them) that we'll be looking for. All "shares" get posted and users may "peg" a share to boost its rating and use a "noise filter" to better refine their home page. Users may also post comments, rate comments and generally generate all content that will reside here. The editor will select shares of high quality to be placed on an "Editor Page," and there will also be a random "share boost" to stories to give everyone an equal opportunity to have their share pegged.

This is part of Diysearch, and your Diysearch user account will be usable here (in that user accounts are completely integrated between the search engine, here and the blogs).
